Our neighbors, our countrymen, and ourselves.

The attacks on middle-easterners living in the U.S. are ridiculously sad and harmful to our collective soul as a nation. We know that the highjackers lived in the U.S. for a year, going to flight schools, gyms and even topless bars. When these facts were made known, we, in our sadness and rage looked for people with similar looks and origins to punish. I say we, because we have all hardened our hearts to an extent. The individuals actually perfoming these acts of violence against their own neighbors are on the extreme fringe of society in their willingness to punish the innocent.

To our middle-eastern neighbors I can only say, we're all in pain, be patient with us, we'll get better. My mom always said when I was a kid. "We came to this country on different ships, but we're all in the same boat now".
