That is where I first ran up against self proclaimed psychedelic fascist, and spirit breaker, DebraJean Danger. Two seconds into reading her bio and
I was ready to adopt her. She had blue hair in long braided pigtails, and she had a Gun Club tattoo on her left arm. Her writings were hysterically funny , sick and
wildly intelligent--- I knew
I was gonna hafta win her over to writing and contributing to Demonbeach. We exchanged emails and I sent her a Bad Checks CD to review, but I wanted to do a telephone
interview with her that would include questions about suicidegirls.com. And here it is:

No, I'm originally from Las Vegas.
But you got up with suicidegirls.com in Portland?
Yeah, Missy asked me to pose, and it looked like fun.
What were you doing at the time?
Being a asshole, living in my van...
Had you been doing nude modeling?
I've modeled for a few years...mostly things I felt were fun...not just
nudes. As the nude thing goes I was working as a stripper in Portland for a while. Everyone strips in Portland. It is like the strip-dancer capital of the U.S., but they have weird distance rules. The dancing
is nude in some clubs, but they do not allow lap dancing. When you do a private dance,you must be three feet away from the
person you are giving the dance to at all times . Whole families strip in Portland---moms, daughters, sisters,
it's just what everyone does. But it is not like some strip clubs I've seen in other states---some of those girls were just plain prostitutes.
I had a persona as Retardia Morona, the world's worst stripper. I would black out my teeth, let tampon strings hang out and smear mayo on the inside of
my thigh.
Did you get a lot of tips?
Some, and it was a blast. I don't care much for the people you have to work
with...they are as dumb as well...strippers---it doesn't take a lot of
brains to take your clothes off as a job..
How does the suicidegirl thing work?
They pay you once, and then the photos stay up, and they can do whatever they want with them.
What are the limits on what the girls can do?
Really, whatever they are comfortable with---they are mostly pin-up type nudes.
Did you guys hang out?
No, not really. I don't pay much attention to the other girls on that sight, I just go in and update my profile diary.
Have you received a lot of wierd email?
No, mostly sweet and cool people. People will write to say they like the Gun Club too.
How does a 21 year old get hooked on the Gun Club?
I'm actually 19, but it's a secret, I have to be able to get into clubs. My friend Carl turned me on to them. I listened to the lyrics to sex beat and I was blown away. The
tattoo I got cause I liked the artwork---it was kind of EC comic-ish

Yeah, I'm here working on my movie, and I'm getting married on July 24.
Congrats, my anniversary is July 12. Tell me about the movie.
It is a feature film called the Suzy Evans story. I co-wrote it,
co-directed, co-edited and co-star in it. It is the story of Suzy;
a schitzo girl who I play who hires a private detective
to protect and follow her, and it details the interactions between
them. Jim Goad stars in it as "Jim McCormic" the
detective who Suzy hires to protect her. Extreme Elvis also makes a cameo in
it.
Did you keep the blue hair?
No it is black for the movie, and it covers the tattoos on the side of my head.
What are they like?
Patterns mostly, kind of an animal print.
Why would a 19 year old want to get married.
Cause he's the man God made for me---he's the best.
My ex roommate has a bunch of my stuff now including the Bad Checks CD you sent.
What did you think.
I loved Undertow---all of your band's song's from now on should sound exactly like Undertow. I don't want to review CDs though, it is too personal and it breaks my
heart to try.
I'll see what I can do. I don't write my own band reviews either, I'm way too critical. Id rather someone else do it.
I got his copy of Fire of Love though, I turned him on to them, so I got that CD of his. Are you guys playing?
We are supposed to be playing the Sleazefest in August, but I haven't seen a schedule.

Yeah, he introduces us most of the time before we play at Sleazefest.
We used to email a lot, cause I hung out with him once and he is a really funny guy.
Yeah, I like him a lot too.
I read your piece in surlyheckler.com---it was incredibly sick, and incredibly funny. There is just not much you can write about Father and Daughter sex that doesn't make everyone wince.
Yeah, I got some hate mail on that---it was obvious it was a spoof and a joke, but it upset some people.
So what's next after this movie?
My next movie I am directing by myself.
